Biography

Miguel Pascual García (Castelló, Spain, 24/12/2005), who was awarded by Generalitat Valenciana in 2022, started to learn the ropes of music at the age of 7 with the piano teacher Julia Gozalbo in “Metrònom” Music School. At the age of 10 he passed with the highest qualifications the required exams to enter the Professional Music Conservatory “Mestre Tàrrega” in Castelló and began to receive piano lessons from teacher Oscar Campos Micó. He ends his professional studies with Honor Award.

Performances


Since 2016, Miguel has performed a wide variety of classical works in different auditoriums in Castellón, Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante and has been a solo pianist at the “Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos de Castellón”, “Real Casino Antiguo de Castellón” , Ateneo de Barcelona and “Auditorio Municipal de Terrassa“. He has also performed as soloist in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 at the “Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos de Castellón” with the CPM “Mestre Tàrrega” symphony orchestra of Castellón in June 2022.

In 2024 he was honored to hold the opening of the awards ceremony for outstanding primary and secondary students in the symphony hall of the Auditorium and Congress Palace of Castelló.

Awards


Among his recognitions, it’s worth highlighting the Autonomous Music Professional Award 21/22 in the piano specialty, a distinction that the Valencian Government granted him at 16 years old and that positioned him among the most outstanding pianists of the Valencian Community of his age. Miguel has also been awarded in the Antoni Besses International Piano Competition (2022 and 2024) and in the Maria Vilardell Viñas piano competition (2025), for which reason the COPE Castellón radio station awarded him the Youth Award in its XIV edition

Recordings


In 2023, Miguel rolled out his first CD at Albert Moraleda’s studios in Barcelona, where highly renowned artists have made their recordings. For the occasion, he chose works by J. S. Bach, F. Schubert, and S. Rachmaninoff.

Training


He has been given a vast array of masterclasses ranging from Akiko Ebi, Ludmil Angelov, Pierre Reach, Alba Ventura and the renowned composer and pianist Antoni Besses, from whom he is still receiving regular lessons.

Nowadays, the widely known Ferrer-Salat Foundation has granted him the highly-regarded scholarships for gifted musicians to thrive on the musical field in the inspiring and enriching environment of the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, where he is being taught by the renowned pianist and concertist Josep Colom , aiming to get a wealth of knowledge not only in the field of performance but also in composition techniques, musical analisys and chamber music.

Miguel has been a member of the JONC (National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia) since 2025
